So who am i?

So who am i?

So I’m Ella Johansson and live on the west coast in Sweden. In the last quarter of 1999 I was born in Kungälv.  When growing up I always had animals around. We had rabbits, birds, hens, cats and of course dogs. 

My interest in dogs began with our family dog Maggie, a beautiful german shepherd. She was A LOT, but a sweetheart in every possible way. But for a young girl to train her was not an option, she was too much for me to handle. So after constant nagging I eventually got my first own dog at the age of 10. A sweet BC-mix that I named Jack. 

Jack was the starting point of my dog training lifestyle and he got me into agility. He was an absolute dream to train with as a child, I couldn't have a better companion than him. In 2014 we qualified for the Swedish Championship in Agility and ended up in fifth place, as a 14 year old this was a big deal! When Jack turned 7 and I turned 16, I got the opportunity to buy my dream breed. And into my life entered Navy, my first border collie.

I had plans to make Navy a successful agility dog, to compete at a high level and reach my goal of representing Sweden in world championships. But Navy was not suitable for agility, he got way too stressed and is a real daredevil to the point where it got dangerous. So I decided to try other things with him and had a friendly encounter with the sport Freestyle. We tried it out on a competition and here we are today - loving every second of dancing in the ring!
